Hello! That’s me! Laurie Castillo, aka Lulubell Elaine. I tell everyone that I am a part-time crafter and wife and many ask “Why part-time?” So here’s why:
During the week I am actually a full-time Marketing Director/Office Manager for a local plumbing company. I love my job, but there’s so much more to me than just that! I have so many interests!
- I love being a wife (I still consider myself a newlywed – my husband and I got married only a little over a year ago – September 30,2011 to be exact, so I’m still learning).
- I love spending time with our family and our friends (other than our furry children- a siberian husky named Harley, and two rescued cats named Zoey and Chandler – my family is my solid ground. They are creative, they are utterly hilarious, and yet sometimes overly critical as well, but surprising, creativity and quality control have often been my strongest traits! I love them all!)
- I love throwing parties and planning events (My family is a group of party animals, we love to let loose and have fun, and have gotten pretty good at planning and executing some pretty fabulous events. I even planned my own entire wedding with all the bells and whistles for less than $12K!)
- Lastly, I love, love, love anything crafty, creative and truly DIY! (By “truly” DIY, I mean that any normal, modern-day person, working a full-time job with other resposibilities can do it.)
However, working a full-time job, being a good wife (or at least trying to be one), and having time to enjoy all of these things I love isn’t always an easy task, but that’s where my blog comes in!
Over the past year I’ve learned ways to make my life easier (and my husband happier), such as tasty dinner ideas that are easy to plan and prepare, as well as some great organization ideas (including how to get your spouse on board too!), in order to make more time for the things I love. So now that I have time to do those things as well, I’ve decided to share them with you!
I sincerely hope you enjoy and if you get a chance, let me know what you think! Comment, share or even shoot me an email! I’d love to hear from you!
